knowledge

I gnósi eínai ena dóro pros emás tous ídious
Knowledge is a present for ourselves
El saber ye un regalu pa nós mesmos
Le savoir est un cadeau pour nous mêmes
El conocimiento es un regalo hacia nosotros mismos
A tudás ajándék önmagunk számára

Tieto on lajha meille itsellemme
Wissen ist ein Geschenk an uns selbst

Wissen ist Macht
Tieto on valtaa

how do you say it in your language?

Yiha, here i am :o)

The most common quote about knowledge ist "Wissen ist Macht" meaning "Knowledge is power". However, "knowledge is a present to ourselves" would probably literally translate to "Wissen ist ein Geschenk an uns selbst". Hope that helps you in a way or another. It also could be "an sich selbst" to relate more to the individual in search for knowledge.

In Finnish we use "Knowledge is power": "Tieto on valtaa". But if you want to get exact translation it is: "Tieto on lahja meille itsellemme". But we do not use that really... -Kati
